Panhellenic Chapters Unite For Philanthropic Park Clean Up At Lincoln Park (California State Univers

Los Angeles, California, March 8th— Theta Rho chapter and Panhellenic sisters Alpha Sigma Tau from California State University/ Los Angeles at park clean up in Lincoln Park.

Giving back to the community and showing global citizenship has always been a passion for the Delta Zeta Theta Rho chapter at California State University, Los Angeles. The idea of cleaning up a park and making it beautiful sounded great, however; doing it alongside Panhellenic sisters, the Gamma Upsilon chapter of Alpha Sigma Tau, was even better!

The park cleanup started at 9 am and all participants attended until the park was completely clean. Diana Garcia, Theta Rho’s Vice President of Philanthropy, incorporated a fun incentive that consisted of a Starbucks gift card to whomever picked up the most trash. The girls split up into teams where Theta Rho members, Natasha Verduzco and Jaleani Sanchez, came out as champions with two full bags of trash.

“I had the greatest time doing service picking up trash at Lincoln park with my sisters from DZ and working alongside my Panhellenic sisters from AST,” says Natasha Verduzco, Theta Rho sister. “We had such a great time full of laughs, amazing vibes all around making our local Lincoln Park even more beautiful.”

Theta Rho is planning more successful clean ups like the one they had at Lincoln Park. They know how important it is to give back to the community and to show why we value it so much. They also plan to do these clean up alongside other organizations. Philanthropy is a great way of demonstrating that one can do bigger and greater things for others.
